PaceFinder is a sim racing analytics tool. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than running and improving PaceFinder.

1. Who we are

PaceFinder is an independent project. For privacy questions, contact us via the feedback form inside the app or at hello@pacefinder.app.

2. Data we collect

PaceFinder is a self-hosted app that runs on your machine — your telemetry, race results, and screenshots never leave your computer. The only data this website collects is:

Mac beta request email — if you request a macOS TestFlight invite, we store your email address so we can send the invite and avoid duplicate sends.
Usage analytics — anonymous page views and basic interaction events via Umami Cloud (no cross-site tracking, no personal identifiers, only loaded with your consent).
Feedback submissions — messages you submit via the feedback form, including the name and email you provide for follow-up.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

Send the TestFlight standby confirmation and, once approved, your TestFlight invite from App Store Connect
Understand how the marketing site is used so we can improve it
Respond to feedback you submit

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data storage and security

Mac beta request emails are stored in Upstash Redis (managed cloud database). Apple handles TestFlight invites and the data associated with installing the beta on your device under Apple's own privacy policy.

You can ask us to remove your email from the Mac beta request list at any time by emailing hello@pacefinder.app.

6. Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies:

Analytics cookies are only active after you accept.

7. Your rights

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
Deletion — ask us to remove your email from the Mac beta request list
Objection — opt out of analytics at any time via the cookie banner

8. Children

PaceFinder is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
